1. I would say that very few (1 out of 100 ?) *real* applications/projects could be written without using interrupts. They are such an integral part of the processor architecture, so it will be much harder to *not* use them. 2. Experience... Or simply counting cycles for your most common routines. Regards, Jan-Erik.
