I haven't used the micro see snake, but did use the larger model that 
had a transmitter with the camera and a metal detector looking receiver. 
We were able to follow it under concrete floor with wire mesh 
reinforcement, deternimining depth within a couple of inches along the 
way. Was able to dig a 1 foot wide trench and fix the pipe. The micro 
see snake is on my shopping list, but just bought a 30 hp. 4wd farm 
tractor with front end loader and 60" finishing mower. Might look up 
your nearest Ridgid representative, might be able to get a demo. I heard 
a newer model with an SD card memory is coming out soon.

Ridgid tool is very close by here. They known for treating their 
employees well.
