In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, g_daubach wrote: eehobby, what datasheet are you referring to? In case it really states that OSC2 must be left open, this would be a mistake. The Parallax part you are using is a resonator, i.e. a passive component, so it does not generate a clock signal by itself, so it requires a drive signal on one end and must return a feedback signal on the other end. This is why you need to connect the two outside elements to the OSC1 and OSC2 pins, and the center element mus go to ground (Vss). The resonators available from Parallax come with internal capacitors, so you don't need external caps. ---------- End of Message ---------- You can view the post on-line at: http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=7&p=1&m=203179#m203234 Need assistance?
