The Panavise products are nice but expensive. I don't have experience with this particular one but I don't care for the situation of standing the board that high above the bench. I prefer to rotate the clamping device down towards the bench top so that the lower edge of the circuit board is on the bench surface. That makes for a solid work piece AND somewhere to rest my hands so that my fingers can be steady. Sometimes I use a wood block to elevate my palms or a brick! When I went to a head supported magnifier I also raised the work bench. I use a hot iron and lots of pressure on the circuit board so I can make solder joints without over heating the board or the components.
