   A total redesign of the boards may not be necessary if you can live without the 4 I/O pins Bean mentioned.  The landing pads for the SX48 fit nice inside the landing pads for the SX52.  We actually had a Proto Board that supported both devices so I could demonstrate how we were able to use one design for both chips if you're interested.  Take care.
