I was too lazy the other day so I didn't bother contacting the
manufacturer for a new PSU or the IC in question.

Instead, I modded the TFT-PSU and a PC-PSU to fit nicely together
using a dsub-9. Works as a charm. Stockpiling PC-PSUs some years ago
really was a good idea.
