Hi all, I once again turn to the amazing collective knowledge of the piclist :) I have a large (145 page) MS word document which I created and I am trying to convert to PDF. However, whenever I try to print it (whether it be to a PDF converting printer driver or to a real printer), it suddenly replaces some of the cross-references with the objects which they cross-reference. As an example, let's say on page 10 I say: "See Figure 5 for more information" When I go to print page 10, instead of getting "See Figure 5 for more information", I get an extra copy of figure 5 on page 10 AND the surrounding text on page 10 takes on the format of a caption. It only does this for some of the cross-refs. The others it handles properly. As far as I can tell, the ones it chokes on all reference the appendix. I have looked at the field codes and see no difference between the ones which work and the ones which don't. I tried both checking and unchecking the "update fields" and "update links" boxes under Tools->Options->Print and it had no effect. This is MS word 2003 on Windows XP pro. I even uploaded this doc to an online word to PDF conversion web site and it did the same thing! Paid $19.95 for the darn conversion, too! Any ideas? Thanks!
