Sea levels are going to rise 12 feet in almost no time. It's going to be a VERY cold swim to the pub then. But, only for a wee while. When the Atlantic Conveyor stops you'll soon be able to WALK to the pub again - but 12 feet above the old route, and much more slippery, and cold. (It will be uphill both ways, and don't expect shoes).
