About 35 years ago, here in Houston, 
a fellow ran a fresh fish shop.

He had the fish live, swimming in a big metal tank.

You pointed out which fish you wanted.

He would then stun them with a pair of metal 
shishkebab skewers nailed to a piece of wood.  

The skewers were routed to 120V from an old-
fashioned socket, hanging from the ceiling.

One day, while leaning against the tank, 
his hand slipped onto the skewers.

The fish shop never reopened.
