Uhh....

Redoing that...

20pf/ft * 5000ft = 100000pF/1000 = 100nF/1000 = 0.1uF

f = 1/(2piRC) = 1/(2 * 3.14 * 1.5 * 0.0000001F) = 1mhz...

That should be plenty me thinks...


Chalk that one up to having only pico farad marked capacitors 
(crystals) and microfarad capacitors (decoupling) in my part box.
