In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, robotworkshop wrote: Hello, As most of you are probably aware, the pinout for pins 1-14 on the SX28 chip are different on the surface mount and DIP versions. I just took a closer look at the SX28 Protoboard and it appears that the pads for the 28-pin DIP (w/wider spacing) match up with a regular 28-pin ZIF socket and also the DIP version of the chip. So, I should be able to unsolder that surface mount SX28 chip, mount my ZIF socket in it's place, and have a nice way to pre-program the SX28 DIP chips. Has anyone else tried this?
