ok, my clock i built a month or 2 back, isnt working.
here is the sequence of events:
1. i fit new power connector in clock
2. due to wiring, pic16f876 short circuits inside itself.(confirmed with
multimeter, resistance across power pins:0 ohms)
3. i order new pic16f876
4. 16f876 arrives, but when i try and program it, error msg says: No Device
ID Recieved.

i have tried LVP, in case it left the factory with that as default, but
still the same error.

it is behaving as if chip isnt there.
i also tried ICSP(wires and breadboard), no luck.

please can someone help me?
