Jim, I'm of the newer generation that watched him in the 80's. There were two inspiring shows that I remember: the light pen, where he had a computer that he could use to 'draw' on the monitor; and an episode about vacuum, demonstrating that there is a maximum limit that something could draw... first from the neighbourhood boy's lungs (didn't go very far), then to a vacuum pump, which made it further, but still hit a limit. He will be missed. I'm thinking about buying the DVD set for my nephews who are getting to be the right age for the shows.
