Welcome to the world. You don't write about earlier experience of programming, electronics or microcontrollers. I have not read the book you ask about, but I recommend Sidney Katzen's "The quintessential PIC microcontroller" (ISBN 185233942X or 978-1852339425). I came from a world of software programming into the world of hardware programming using this book. It's an excellent book, perhaps not for utter novices though. I learned all the assembler required, and it's also got lots of "real world"-examples of problems and how you would solve them. I heartily recommend this book. -- - Rikard - http://bos.hack.org/cv/ -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
