Here's another nice story:

Many years ago I had a phone conversation with a customer who asked for the
price of a certain part. The price was straight out 100 DEM plus taxes
(which were 14% at that time) so the final amount was really easy to
calaculate. But I hearded his calculator (those old desk calculators with
printout) working in the background and some seconds later he told me that
the final amount would be 152.567,11. On my correction, that it is 114,-- he
asked me: Do you also have a calculator?
