Metric/Imperial and user option 1/2. The Ramtron device would be (almost) perfect. The outputs can be tristated, so they can share pins with something else. But I have a couple of pins I can spare and a 25LC010 is 10% cheaper and the same footprint so I'll use that. If you only need to save a couple of bits of information and are pin limited, it could be a useful device. You'll pay more than $0.36 to get EEPROM in an equivalent micro Anyone have a better option in SOT-23 ?
