Having a circuit catch on fire after defluxing is a well known problem. Insufficiently dried solvent (in the flux or on the board) can cause this. Both organics free (water based) and organics based (polar solvent) fluxes and cleaners conduct electricity while wet. Drying the board with a blower or in an oven is mandatory before powering up.
