I am making a motor thats going to be used in a very harsh environment (robot wars). What I'm looking for is a material to cast the windings in. We are trying to make a pancake style motor with *lots* of turns of wire on and would like something that will remain structural to at least about 150C (200C would be better). Most of the resin's and epoxies I've seen whilst they don't "melt" at those temperatures become very soft. We are hoping to be able to run the motors hot (yes we are getting funky magnets too) to pack the power into them for the 3 minute match time. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
