We have pretty much come to the same conclusion. Even though Davis, CA isn't as bad as, say, LA or San Fransisco, the homes within a 30 minute drive to work are still over $1,000 more per month mortgage. The house I have here in Michigan is over 3x more anywhere near Davis and Sacramento. However, there are more job listings for engineers in CA than here, and were one to do enough job hopping and shopping I expect one could do quite well there (or price themselves out of even that market :-D ) I like it out here though. -Adam -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moving in southeast Michigan?
