It's so large (if it is) while relatively uinheard of as it was developed for the gamer community to allow globally distributed teams to communicate effectively while participating in multiplayer games. This tends to be a reasonably "techno savy" community who will not tolerate too too much intrusion from their products. My son has used it in this capacity for a considerable period and spedka highly of it *BUT* I was looking for independent opinions from people who were experienced in its use. I can well enough work out all the might-be's and cant-see's etc myself, but there's no substitute for practical experience from others. > "Potential security risk" is one of these doublespeak type words. > Designed to impress the reader without saying much > if anything at all. Only if eg I say it and eg you critique it :-). I went back and put the "potentially" in retrospectively to try and make the meaning clearer. What I was *trying* to convey was: Any product that does its very very best to bypass security arrangements as a matter of course must be an attaractive target for others who would hope to be able to use it as a conduit for their own nefarious products. I was seeking to convey not that it constituted a ecurity risk in its own right but because it might provide a means of attack for others to utilise. Maybe I didn't make that as clear as I hoped it would be.
