well...this is one of those questions where I figured I knew the answer but....
   
  Threw together a project last night, 18F252...oops...no internal osc, but I had some ceramic resonators so I dropped it on, just across the osc1 and osc2 pins.  Hmmm....board wont run in debug....so my first thought....clock.  You dont need caps across the resonators do you?
   
  I'm checking with a scope to see if I have a clock...but havent had a chance to look yet, figured I'd ask the dumb question first.
