Depending on the application, speed is not always an issue. Regular A/V streams (think media PC) be just fine off of a flash-disk. It's like me not needing a Porsche to do the shopping in... ( Well, actually I do. I just don't have the money for one -yet-! As the same money-issue also effects me buying a beefy flash disk for my PC, I'll stick with the faster and CHEAPER HDU's for a while! Poor me! ) Has anyone heard of FeRAM? It sounds promising; it's probably expensive too... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferroelectric_RAM Sean -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
