> Where do you get your parts for prototyping? samples in my experiance are slow and The last few times I asked my local Microchip distributor for samples their response was that it's quicker to get the samples from Microchip's own sampling program. And for that service they expect me to order through them and pay them a premium, probably a larger percentage than I make on my completed products. Yeah, right! I'm in Australia. If i need a sample immediately I'll get it from Farnell; sure, a PIC12F675 will cost $10 rather than the $1 it should but I just need to make a single phone call and i'll get it that day without having to tell some salesperson or apps engineer what my project is and projected sales and target market and product life and.... That IS service and if they want to charge 1000% for it then it's still better value than paying a distributor for no service. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
