But that rather misses the point of why some of the things are banned, or 
restricted. making an engine last two races has to mean that reliability 
improvements are made that can be cascaded down into regular production. 
Various other banned items also get the cars away from the extreme high 
tech, to a point where the technology can be useful for production vehicles
