My personal rule of thumb when I have absolutely no knowledge on a topic is to ask a question instead of making a statement. For example, I wouldn't have said, "I think 75Mhz is too fast ( overkill )." I would have asked a question like, "I'm curious why you're running the ECU at 75 MHz."
