Hi Russell:

The interesting thing about the K2 is that when it's run at 350 ma, the 
specified current for the first generation High Brightness LumiLEDs, it's life 
is fantastic (>100,000 hours) and the efficiency is better at the lower current 
and so is has about twice the Lum/W of the first generation devices.  The last 
figure it artificially truncated at 60k hours at the top and 10k to 20k hours 
at the bottom, but you can mentally extend the lines to see that at 350 ma the 
K2 has very simple (if any) heat sinking needs.
