I think there are serious issues to be considered. It could encourage the highly competitive to seek replacement of inferior natural limbs. My initial reaction is that would be bizarre. OTH, competition encourages technical development and in the near future I expect I will be shopping for replacement knee joints. Perhaps a special class for the artificially enhanced competitor?
