Mt impression was that it did a lot of things pretty sensibly, but I never did collect the discipline to scan all my books in. (This would require a relatively GOOD barcode scanner, IMO, and not the CueCat that I was testing with!) I have a Mac app that will read barcodes using the built in video cameras on newer macs. that's pretty cool, but ... not really very useful for scanning lots of books. IMO.
