Hi List, For years our company has been buying books from Amazon (and local universities' library book sales), so we now have quite a few of them. Up until now, we've been using Excel to enter new books, and to check the books in and out of the library. While this method worked well at the beginning, the library becomes more difficult to manage as we add more books to it. I suppose I could use this as an opportunity to sharpen my Delphi skills, but I would hate to reinvent the wheel. Is there free/inexpensive specialized software out there, for managing small libraries? The software must be able to: - Have an easy-to use interface for entering new books into the system + BONUS: pull the info from Amazon based on the ISDN + BONUS: display book cover - Support categories - Support keywords - Support multiple users - Support multiple locations ("electronics lab", "Mike's office", "restroom #1", etc) - Allow easy check out/check in + BONUS: scan ISDN, display list of users for checkout, or automatically check in - Keep history of check in/out operations All suggestions are welcome.
