Blogspot.com is so infested with spam sites that I automatically block any reference to it from my web servers. Emails (other than via the PICList server) which refer to Blogspot.com trigger my spam filters. Several independent research agencies have reported that over 90% of the blogs hosted at that server are, in fact spammers. I guess what I'm really trying to say is: Blogging? Great! Blogspot.com? KILL! KILL! KILL! Google owns them and is doing great evil by not enforcing content and making it difficult to impossible to report spam bloggers. Here are a few out of the hundreds in my logs of blocked attempts to post links to piclist.com via the blogging/wiki form at the bottom of every page on the site: napr oxen-pills-on.blogspot.com/ simva statin-pills-on.blogspot.com Ome prazole-pills-on.blogspot.com Card ura-pills-on.blogspot.com I've randomly inserted spaces to keep YOUR spam filters from blocking THIS message. If you filter is good, you won't even see this. What do you think those blogs are about? Oxen? Statin? Ome? Cards? No.... They are about drugs. I wonder who paid for the time it took to set those "blogs up" and then (attempt to) plaster links to them all over my site? I wonder how many $$$ Google made by directing the people who might have clicked on those links to the big pharma? If you blog, find a reputable host... ...Like Massmind.org or piclist.com for example. --- James. > -----Original Message----- > From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu > [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of Xiaofan Chen > Sent: 2007 May 21, Mon 06:00 > To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. > Subject: [OT] Are you into blogging? > > It seems to me that blogging is quite popular now.
