Hello With nothing but the diodes and capacitors in the schematic I still have trouble (can't connect the sides or smoke appears). No computer connected, nothing else. Am I still missing something? You have alerted me to the need to isolate the computer ground though when in the future the circuit connects to a PC. Looks like I'll need to isolate everything anyway.
