Yeah, but there was a heap that kept on going when the spout was at its 
highest - including buses.

Agreed, but there didn't seem to be as much traffic from that side anyway.

Um, no I think you will find that cover came out of the hole the water was 
coming out of, so by the time it was in the middle of the road it was 
benign - but I did wonder if the ute had hit it, and stalled or damaged its 
steering that it didn't back away.
