Say fuel economy is 8l/100km average. 10% improvement saves 8l/1000km 8l petrol costs about $11 so would need to cover $138/11 x 1000 =~~ about 12,000 km to break even on purchase price alone (at 10% savings). Up from 157 peak to 176 peak or about +12% power increase Dyno runs were 16 months apart but he says there were no other changes apart from the Fuelstar unit. Notably it also (apparently) gave about +1psi turbo boost across the range. It's conceivable that the lubricant (whatever it is) actually reduces turbo power losses enough to make a significant difference in the boost pressure which ... .
