Physically they are fairly similar

Many little details like those. Depending on how many little details
are in the original code, you could be in for a little bit of typing

I migrated from the 877 to the 452 and to the 4520. Nothing wrong
with anything "pre-18F" but 18F or better are so much easier to work
with
