I'm just skeptical that it happens on such scale > (specialized departments, several ads per month). Don't take my words literally. I was exaggerating a little. Anyway by telecom I meant telecom services (cell, isp, etc) not hardware. As in '$5 uncapped bandwidth' 'zero tax *something* plan' etc. These plans usually last just until the competition changes tack to follow. The runners-up are software companies (with FUD wrt. new products and their features leading FAR ahead of everyone). Hardware comes last. Protoypes built to show a client an aspect, which were then lugged off (wires and duct tape stuffed in and the lid shut forcibly) to some trade show are just an aspect of the problem.
