Hello All, I am doing a project, which involves at least 40 circuits each involving a pic16f628, you may consider each circuit as a hub. I wanna connect the hubs serially to each other. I have a single 30V supply, and I wanna connect this to the final hub, each hub has 7805 regulators for feeding pic16f628. The circuit seems as below. 30VDC--HUB1-->HUB2->-HUB3-->.........HUB40 Inside of each HUB looks as below supply connection from previous hub---7805---pic16f628--- My question is that, what about the current amount of 30VDC, I know that pic16f84 needs low current. But to feed all the HUBs the suppy should provide much more current. I know that 7805 can provide up to 1A. Since their a loos on line also, If supply provide much current, for instance 0.5A, i.e., 30V/1A. Can the 7805 output damage the pics16f628s. How about your comments?
