Which interface are you trying to use? Depending on the model year, your car 
may not be EOBD compliant.

See the Commission Directives. Diesels were especially late at adopting 
EOBD.

PPS ScanGauge is indeed a solid piece of equipment. Their president seems 
like a nice guy, too (met him at SEMA last year).
