Windows CE and sold the whole thing.
An Acer from 2004 did have it: it was a cheap model (250EUR at the time) =

but we did do special search for that capability.
One year after, a Fujitsu and a HP, more expensive (400-500 EUR) had the =

USB host port too.
I'd say that after 2005 every one has USB host, but may be wrong.
Sure, the issue with drivers still exists...
