You need a card that has dual link DVI. Dual DVI is *not* the same. 
Most ATI X1K series chips are capable of dual link, but not all cards 
that use these chips are.

A 30" monitor requires one dual link DVI port. A card with two dual 
link ports can drive two 30" monitors.
