These is no standard font, beyond being legible.  Look around and you'll see
some that look like they came off a 1980's ere dot matrix.  After all,
they're meant to machine readable.

There are specs on size, whitespace & the like -

f (only 50k).

This one reccomends the font to be OCR-B.
