Doing some searches....for a small, cheap recording device...is there anything out there that can do better  than the ISD chips?  This is for record/playback in a consumer device.  Small and cheap are the prime requirements.
   
  And along that line....the ISD designs ive done in the past used seperate speaker and mic.  Speakers arn't the best mic's of course, but wonder if I can combine.  Quality will suffer no doubt, so maybe a electret mic will be cheap enough.  But speaker wise, looking for a small FLAT decent sounding speaker...voice range only.  Anyone have some lines on that?
