> [...] Dell is an evil company, never buy from Dell, blah blah blah... FWIW, All our workstations are Dell systems, built from 2003 to 2006 -- never had a single problem. For our printing needs (hundreds of pages per week), we use a Dell 3100cn printer, which was the best value on the market when I was shopping for a color laser printer at the end of 2005. My Inspiron 8500, which I bought in 2004 still works great, despite the extended daily use (it was my primary PC for over two years) and the beatings it received. I had no trouble finding RAM or a hard drive (both are third party components) on eBay when I needed to upgrade the laptop. Last Saturday, I ordered two 30" Dell monitors, reviews are excellent and I expect them to perform well. Even if they don't, I know how easy it is to get Dell to exchange any piece of equipment, or issue a refund. Delivery within the US is often free, and most of the time takes only a few days from the time the order is placed. Overall, Dell is one of the best companies that I've ever had to deal with.
