The 317 is a linear solution. What I'm trying to avoid is blowing away significant power in a resistor, or other linear device. PWM is fine, but I don't have much space or time to spend getting there. > David, have mercy and spit the problem entirely... when will be the > satellite launched ? :) Not a sattelite. > Will be necessary 10...100mA at -200C in condensed acid atmosphere ? No, relatively normal environment. I'm just trying to save power is all. The ideal solution would be a two terminal device that will sink a settable current in that range. I can feed it 5V or 9-12V as power. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
