Thanks. Two more questions:

Mode #8, "Internal oscillator with I/O on OSC1/CLKIN and OSC2/CLKOUT",
does this mean I can use the internal oscillator and (at the same
time) use the two pins as I/O?

Mode #7 seems to be the same, except that one of the pins is Fosc/4.
In which applications could it be useful to have this waveform? When
you want to synchronize other ICs with the same clock, or something
like that?
