A search for fluorescent display drivers http://www.google.com/search?q=fluorescent+display+drivers http://www.google.com/search?q=vfd+drivers Brings up several, such as these from allegro: http://www.allegromicro.com/en/products/Categories/ICs/vfdisplaydriver.asp Other companies offering such drivers are Maxim, Oki, ST, ... Many (if not most) are now using spi or similar rather than a pin per output. If you really need pin per output, then you may have to build your own transistor circuits. This is likely going to be the least expensive option anyway. None of these drivers are under $0.10 per output. -Adam On 4/17/07, Russell McMahon wrote: > Can anyone recommend available and reasonably priced high voltage > driver ICs such as were originally used for eg vacuum fluorescent > driving applications. > > UDN6118A, UDN6128A are two such with 8 drivers/IC, pinout similar to > ULN280x family but with 80V capability.
