Can anyone recommend available and reasonably priced high voltage driver ICs such as were originally used for eg vacuum fluorescent driving applications. UDN6118A, UDN6128A are two such with 8 drivers/IC, pinout similar to ULN280x family but with 80V capability. Also, (and irrelevantly to the main query) unlike the ULN280X and ULN200x which are open collector inverting these are non inverting with passive output pull down and NPN emitter follower outputs. However, these are 'hard to find' (not impossible) and have a nasty price tag when they are available. I presume (possibly forlornly) that there is a somewhat more available and better priced alternative. (UDN6118A are available here for ~$NZ9.50/$US7 retail falling to about $NZ5 / $US3.50 in 25's trade. The number of drives per IC, whether inverting or non inverting and even actual drive topology are not crucial. Failing the availability of a suitable IC one could use any low voltage driver and discrete high voltage transistors (perhaps even arrays thereof) but an integrated solution would be desirable.
