Exactly the same as the day I typed them in. Why? Because keep a little (ha!) directory called d/ which is backed up on three continents. And almost everything I do I have in open-source revision control systems, either CVS or subversion/SVK. Can't say that with all the analog film pictures I've taken. Even Kodakchrome fades in the long run.
