Reminds me of a story I heard some time back, of an Australian audiophile 
who used to "go bush" when there was something that he felt was of import on 
the radio, that he wanted to record. Took a high quality tuner and battery 
tape recorder with him, and found some spot that was suitably RF quiet to 
set his gear up, and get an interference free recording.
