Agreed, at this point as I'm testing, the load from the house is on the utility, and not the generator, but it's a real possiblilty to have to use the battery backup with either utility or generator supply. This situation occurs when the utility power has returned, the Atomatic Transfer Switch is waiting for at least a minute for the utility power to be good to prevent flickering as the utility becomes stable. The generator is a heavy (350 lbs.) and has been used with this setup for a year, but never had previously tested this way. Was writing documentation, and words weren't matching what was there, was when I found this. Just seens very strange where power comes from affects the changeover.
