I think the latter is completely different from the 12F500s, but that the adaptor board produces a pin layout that is similar to the 500s (with 2 pins unconnected, obviously). Sorry I can't give you anything more solid, but hopefully that should put you on the trail (which a continuity tester on the adaptor board should be able to confirm). Good luck!
