I can't give you any solid information because I'm away from home and didn't bring my PICkit2 CD with me...

I seem to remember that there are three different pinouts on 10Fs:

- SOT23 6-pin
- the above soldered onto a SOT23-6 to DIP-8 pin adaptor board
- DIP-8

Although the last two both end up with 8 pins, I'm fairly sure the pin arrangements are different.  I think the latter is 
completely different from the 12F500s, but that the adaptor board produces a pin layout that is similar to the 500s 
(with 2 pins unconnected, obviously).

Sorry I can't give you anything more solid, but hopefully that should put you on the trail (which a continuity tester on 
the adaptor board should be able to confirm).
